ABOUT GRACE

From an early age, Grace expressed a passion for creating through drawing, painting, and sewing.  She pursued this interest in art and design, studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned her BFA in Furniture Design.

Upon graduating, Grace began a floral design career in New York, inspired by a lifelong appreciation of nature and flora.  There she worked alongside many talented designers in several of the city’s leading floral and event design boutiques.

Drawing on both her artistic vision and the skills honed through her years in NY, she launched Grace Kim Floral & Event Design in Providence, RI.  Emphasizing the subtle and delicate forms of each bloom, Grace’s work is a reflection of her enduring respect for nature and its seasonality.  With her unfaltering attention to detail, passion for quality, and keen eye for color and texture, Grace weaves flowers, grasses, fruits and branches to create stunning, organic compositions, evocative of nature's limitless bounty.

Grace Kim Floral & Event Design offers a variety of services suited to all of your custom floral needs, whether an intimate dinner party or a lavish affair.  Grace works closely with each of her clients, understanding their vision, and building from it to create a uniquely tailored, inspiring, and lasting experience.

ABOUT OUR PROCESS

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming!  While our job is first and foremost to make your wedding flowers as beautiful as possible, it is also our responsibility to provide you with a fun and stress-free experience so you can focus on enjoying this exciting journey you will take together.  The following is an example of our collaborative design process:

1. CONTACT US
Send us an email or form submission and we will respond by phone or email to set up a complimentary consultation.  We will send you a wedding questionnaire, this helps us better understand your personal style and vision for your wedding.

2. LET'S HAVE COFFEE
During our consultation, we will go over all the tiny details that make your wedding unique!  Feel free to bring design inspirations such as pictures of your dress, color swatches, magazine clippings etc.  We love seeing what inspires you! 

 3.  REVIEW YOUR CUSTOM PROPOSAL
After the consultation, we will create a custom floral proposal complete with an inspiration board and detailed descriptions of every design element. We are open to your suggestions and feedback and are available to answer any questions you may have.  We will build upon and adjust this initial proposal until you decide it's perfect.

4. BOOK WITH US
After we get the proposal just right, we will send you the newly revised version along with your contract.  Once you're ready, send us the signed contract with your deposit to make it official.

5. FINALIZE DETAILS
Keep us posted during the months leading up to your big day.  We will schedule a call a few weeks before your wedding to finalize details and a timeline.

6. CELEBRATE!
On your wedding day, we will arrive on site prepared to create floral magic!  We'll have all installations up and ready, centerpieces in place, boutonnieres pinned, and candles lit.  After ensuring all decor is in place and perfect, we clean up after ourselves before heading out so you, the happy couple, can fully enjoy and celebrate the momentous occasion.
